SEESAW
Seesaw app is available for both IOS and Android. It gets students to engage while also giving them confidence to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Teachers can also let the students show what they have learned by using photos, videos, drawings, PDFs, and links. This app will also have everything in one place where teachers can check what was created and even show parents their child’s progress and creativity.
Khan Academy Kids and Khan Academy
Khan Academy and Khan Academy Kids can be downloaded on IOS and Androids. While you might think they are both the same, khan Academy Kids is used for Pre-K to second grade. Khan Academy is used for third grade and above. We can use both for not only teachers, but they are also good apps for homeschooling. They have many resources that hit the basic subjects to computer programing. The best part is that they are free to use. While they are not accreditable we can use them as a resource to help teach and get extra learning. Teachers also benefit from using these apps so we ca get resources to teach the students. Students earn badges as they complete assignments, create avatars, and get energy points to help motivate students to complete their lessons. Students can even participate in course question sections and forums.
Canva
Canva is free and can be used to create online graphic
designs for social media posts, presentations, videos, and more. Students can create
their own design or choose from the many thousands of educational templates
they have. Using Canva in your classroom will help students expand their
creativity and allow them to flourish. Canva can be a great tool for teachers
to teach because we are all visual learners so having this will benefit both
teachers and students. Teachers can use Canva as a way to see how students
express themselves with their creativity in a different perspective.
