My Digital Learning Philosophy

Learning is like students, always growing and improving. Just as we learn and grow, we also must expand and modify our way of teaching for future students. As time moves on, technology is getting more and more integrated in our everyday lives. Nowadays, wherever we look, there is a child with some type of electronic device in their hand. Technology is becoming more important as we speak. The incorporation of technology allows students to absorb what they have learned with much more ease. A simple lesson plan using technology can be assigned and used for students in a creative eye-catching way. As a teacher, finding a way to grab students’ attention is key to creating a great class and educating students. After a hard week of working, I believe ending it with a fun activity will allow students to unwind their minds a bit. Fridays are the days to let students relax and enjoy an educational game or movie. This will help students, in the long run, to not be so stressed, but still get lea

Technology Lesson Reflection

I chose to use Google Classroom to create a Learning Management System or LMS. I was so lost since this is my first LMS I have ever created, and I know I can always improve with time and practice. I used my lesson plan as the body of my LMS and incorporated four C’s which are to communicate, collaborate, create, and critical thinking. I used YouTube videos and had friends’ advice to help me. This has been an eye opening of how technology is an important part of teaching and to not feel scared to mess up. I can consider this a fun and learning experience. I loved going through different apps to try to incorporate them in to grab my future student’s attention. Before creating an LMS create a lesson plan to always fall back on, this will be very beneficial. I enjoyed making a banner using Canva, it is free and easy to use. I decided to use an introduction video for my students using Wevideo with some class rules. Even if we can’ t meet in person students need rules and regulations, this

I chose Seesaw, Khan Academy and Khan Academy Kids, and Canva because they can support and engage diverse learners. Technology is used in many ways, and I feel using these three is very beneficial for not only students but also teachers. They can be used for great support in learning because kids get to engage in their work and get hands on learning. While teachers get to see how students interact with technology and guide them for future assignments or lessons. They get to see how students excel or what they need help with.   SEESAW Seesaw app is available for both IOS and Android. It gets students to engage while also giving them confidence to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Teachers can also let the students show what they have learned by using photos, videos, drawings, PDFs, and links. This app will also have everything in one place where teachers can check what was created and even show parents their child’s progress and creativity.  Khan Academy Kids and Khan Academy Kha

Class dojo is a cool app, I really like how they made it where students can pick their own characters. As a teacher, I feel using this will draw the students attention making it fun. They can listen to calm music while working on an assignment or active music. Teachers will be able to check the report to see how the students acted and if they are on track. It shows a spreadsheet of what each student does and this can also be used to show parents how active their child(ren) are. There is also a tool where we can add an event and it will remind parents such as if students have exams or even a fieldtrip.  Messages is another great place to communicate with the parents. Parents love feedback and want to know what they can do to help their child(ren) succeed.       https://classdojo.com/ Google Slides is another exciting app aimed for younger students. Students themselves will learn and enjoy. Learning sight words has now become a game by finding the sight words and somehow must put the sig
